Quality Control Inspector

$23/hr | Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm | Temp-to-Hire

Our client, a respected distributor of custom manufactured components, fasteners and industrial supplies, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing products meet rigorous quality standards and specifications.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for thoroughly inspecting and analyzing measurements, material & finish requirements, and verifying product conformance throughout various production process stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect both incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with customer prints, military specifications, industry standards and/or commercial requirements
• Review internal purchase and sales orders to verify specified requirements have been properly addressed
• Coordinate quality inspections with management and department leads
• Contact suppliers in the event of rejection to arrange for replacement material and/or resolve documentation issues
• Review material & finish certifications and test reports to ensure compliance
• Perform and help train staff on inspection techniques and instructions

Qualifications:

• Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and drawings
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Capability to read military specifications, industry standards or commercial specs (or willingness to learn)
• Experience using standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, thread plugs, thread rings, precision pins, etc.)
• Computer proficiency
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds
