Excellent opportunity for experienced Controller with well established and growing commercial construction company. 

Direct Hire position with a salary range of $120,000-135,000

Position does require in office daily in the Athens / Watkinsville area. Excellent benefits and room for growth! 

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cash flow management, banking operations, and treasury reporting functions
• Lead preparation and review of journal entries and general ledger maintenance
• Administer fixed asset recording, depreciation, and reconciliation processes
• Facilitate efficient month-end close procedures and ensure reporting deadlines are met
• Collaborate on monthly financial statement compilation and perform analytical reviews
• Execute regulatory compliance reporting requirements and statutory filings
• Develop management reporting packages and key performance indicators
• Review current workflows and recommend system improvements and efficiency gains
• Participate in establishing accounting standards, documentation, and control frameworks
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Experience with Vista / Viewpoint Software
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Exceptional organizational skills and time management capabilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in a construction or similar environment
