Industrial Maintenance Technician - Food Manufacturing
Job Description
Growing food manufacturer located in Tucker has an opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician, Direct Hire!
$28-$35per hour DOE
Position is pirmarily 2nd shift Noon-8:00 pm, but may require some flexibility to cover on 1st shift when needed
What You'll Do:
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance on production equipment
- Maintain heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, and office/plant facilities
- Service pneumatic systems, air compressors, and air dryer operations
- Maintain and repair small tools, grinders, and welding equipment
- Conduct basic repairs within office facility
- Perform sanitary welding on equipment and food processing piping
- Install and maintain electrical equipment, controls, circuits, and PLC systems
- Troubleshoot and identify worn parts, rebuild machine assemblies, pumps, meters, valves, valve actuators and other equipment
- Handle electrical work up to 480V 3-phase systems
- Troubleshoot motor control circuits and program VFDs
- Work with equipment control circuits
- Maintain material handling equipment and conveyor systems
- Work with pick, fill, and seal equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance on material handling equipment
- Perform valve control repairs
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of related experience in a food manufacturing facility
- Strong motor controls and PLC knowledge
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems
- Electrical knowledge up to 480V 3-phase systems
- Capable of troubleshooting motor control circuits
- Experience with VFD programming and equipment control circuits
- Experience working with pick, fill, and seal equipment
- Proficiency in performing piping repairs
- Ability to conduct preventative maintenance on material handling equipment
- Experience with valve control repairs
- Sanitary welding capabilities
- Spanish speaking skills are a plus
