Maintenance Supervisor- Food Manufacturing
Job Description
Direct Hire opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor for a well-established, large-scale food manufacturer in Tucker, GA. This direct hire opportunity offers a competitive salary of $75,000-$100,000 (based on experience),excellent benefits and the chance to lead and coordinate a skilled maintenance team in a high-volume manufacturing facility. You'll supervise all maintenance activities including repair, installation, and preventive maintenance while directly supervising the team on staffing, training, and performance standards.
Job Duties:
- Directly oversee Maintenance team including staffing, training, performance standards, and performance management
- Oversee day-to-day assignments and partner with Maintenance Planner to develop scope and assign technicians to work orders and projects
- Ensure weekly preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and work orders are completed satisfactorily
- Monitor scheduled work and adjust as required to meet production schedules
- Inspect completed work for conformance to standards, specifications, and blueprints
- Continually monitor working conditions and equipment use; suggest changes to increase efficiency and quality
- Ensure all plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment in compliance with OSHA rules
- Manage department to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMPs) are adhered to and professional appearance is maintained
- Conduct regular maintenance inspections and ensure maintenance shop equipment and tools meet operational requirements
- Operate within Maintenance budget and initiate cost saving measures
- Provide leadership in implementing/maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Work with Human Resources regarding personnel and performance issues
- Foster team responsibility for achieving goals and support employee growth through individual development planning
- Support food safety program, quality standards, and legality of manufactured products
Requirements:
- Associate's/Bachelor's degree, program certificate, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 7+ years of maintenance experience. Food manufacturing highly preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of supervisory experience in maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to organize, lead, coach, and train a diverse maintenance workforce
- Experience overseeing preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs
- Ability to conduct PM audits and inspect completed work for quality, safety, and compliance
- Strong mechanical and planning aptitude with working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read diagrams, layouts, blueprints, and related documentation
- Knowledge of food manufacturing, FDA/USDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS
- Continuous improvement mindset with ability to support multiple projects
- Strong decision-making skills with ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-shift environment with occasional overtime and weekend support
