EHS Manager
Job Description
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to take on all things safety and environmental compliance across two manufacturing locations, one in the Atlanta/Doraville area and one in North Carolina.
Position is Direct Hire
What You'll Do
This person will own the EHS function end to end, from policy development to boots-on-the-ground safety culture:
- Build and roll out EHS policies and programs across both sites
- Run risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
- Oversee waste management and environmental compliance
- Lead safety training and employee engagement initiatives
- Investigate incidents, lead root cause analysis, and put preventive measures in place
- Manage emergency response and preparedness planning
- Track EHS metrics and KPIs and report on trends
- Partner closely with Operations, HR, Legal, and Facilities to weave safety into daily operations
- Act as the liaison with regulatory agencies and outside stakeholders
- Travel between the Atlanta and South Carolina sites as needed
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of EHS experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong background in manufacturing environments (preferred)
- Proven track record in managing regulatory compliance and safety programs
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory EHS frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable splitting time between two sites and working cross-functionally
