Established manufacturing company in Loganville opening for a skilled Controller to oversee accounting operations and provide strategic financial oversight. Excellent working environment!

Job Duties

• Oversee month-end close process including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Prepare financial statements and management reports with analytical insights
• Establish and maintain labor and overhead cost allocation methods
• Direct physical inventory processes and work with operations to resolve discrepancies
• Manage sales and use tax filings, audits, and property tax returns for all locations
• Configure and maintain tax rates in ERP system and ensure UCC filing compliance
• Oversee fixed asset accounting including acquisitions, disposals, depreciation, and capital project tracking
• Direct cash reconciliation, monitor cash transactions, and lead cash flow forecasting
• Leverage ERP system to improve accounting processes and internal controls
• Lead special projects and provide financial guidance to support business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CMA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and ability to research technical accounting topics
• Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting principles
• Experience with manufacturing inventory accounting
• Flexibility to work extended hours to meet month-end deadlines and operational needs, typically 50-55 hours per week
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Proven experience with ERP systems and financial reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all organizational levels
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
