A well-established and growing commercial construction company in Athens, Georgia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from initiation through completion. This leadership role offers the opportunity to drive project success while managing cross-functional teams in a dynamic construction environment.

Position Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of commercial construction projects, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, and quality specifications. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining focus on client satisfaction and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct project teams including superintendents, foremen, and support staff to achieve project milestones
  • Coordinate activities across multiple trades and departments to ensure seamless project execution
  • Develop detailed project schedules and assign responsibilities based on team capabilities and project requirements
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, conducting regular cost analysis and financial reporting
  • Identify potential project risks and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies for leadership review
  • Serve as primary client contact throughout project lifecycle, addressing concerns and maintaining strong relationships
  • Facilitate communication between field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives
  • Partner with business development teams to support proposal efforts and knowledge transfer for upcoming projects
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols, building codes, and all regulatory requirements
  • Complete additional project-related tasks as business needs require

Essential Qualifications:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities
  • Strong client relations and customer service orientation
  • Superior organizational skills with ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with ability to motivate and guide project teams
  • Skill in task prioritization and effective delegation of responsibilities
  • Adaptability to learn new construction methods, technologies, and project management systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management software

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline required
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in commercial construction or related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification strongly preferred
